Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you can and cannot do with the CoursePortify platform. It is part of our Terms of Service; violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
1. Prohibited content
You may not upload to, store on, or transmit through CoursePortify:
- Content you do not own or have a license to translate or evaluate.
- Student personally identifiable information (PII), graded student work, or other "education records" subject to FERPA, except under a written agreement that authorizes such processing (Enterprise tier with signed DPA + FERPA addendum).
- Personal health information regulated under HIPAA. CoursePortify is not a HIPAA Business Associate and is not certified for HIPAA workloads.
- Cardholder data regulated under PCI DSS. Card numbers, magnetic-stripe data, CVV / CVC, and full track data must not be uploaded.
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts or sexually exploits minors.
- Content that infringes the intellectual-property rights of another party (see our DMCA Policy).
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, or any code intended to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to a computer or network.
- Content from sanctioned jurisdictions or whose processing would violate U.S. export controls (EAR / OFAC).
- Material that we have informed you, in writing, we will not host.
2. Prohibited actions
You may not, and may not assist or permit any third party to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of CoursePortify or its underlying APIs except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from CoursePortify except via documented APIs.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any CoursePortify system or network without prior written authorization (see our responsible-disclosure process).
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the platform.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, billing, rate-limit, or quota controls.
- Use the service to develop a competing product or service.
- Use the service to send unsolicited bulk email or other unsolicited messages, or to create accounts using automated means or false identities.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to CoursePortify except as expressly permitted in writing by us.
- Misrepresent your relationship with Konero Analytics & Machine Learning LLC or the source of any output produced by CoursePortify.
3. AI / output misuse
CoursePortify produces translations and evaluations using machine learning and large language models. You may not:
- Use the service to generate content for the purpose of academic dishonesty or to misrepresent AI-generated output as human-authored when human authorship is required (e.g., for academic credit).
- Use the service to generate content that promotes self-harm, terrorism, child sexual abuse material, or biological / chemical weapons synthesis.
- Use CoursePortify output to train a competing translation or evaluation model.
- Disable, remove, or obscure any safety filters or watermarks we apply to outputs.
4. Reporting violations
If you believe a CoursePortify user is violating this AUP, please report it to contact@koneroanalyticsml.com with subject AUP report and as much detail as you can provide (account, content, behavior, timestamps).
5. Enforcement
We may, at our sole reasonable discretion and without prior notice where the violation is severe or ongoing:
- Remove or disable access to violating content.
- Suspend the offending account during investigation.
- Terminate the account and any associated jobs.
- Refuse to refund pre-paid jobs that have been started.
- Cooperate with law enforcement and provide records as required by law.
For non-severe issues we will, where reasonable, contact you to discuss the issue before suspending or terminating access.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a revised AUP becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the changes.
