Refund Policy

CoursePortify bills per translation or evaluation job. This page explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and how we handle quality concerns. This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Our billing model

CoursePortify does not use subscriptions. You authorize a charge each time you start a job, the amount is shown to you at checkout, and we only begin work after Stripe confirms the payment.

Pricing tiers, word-count limits, and per-job amounts are published at courseportify.koneroanalyticsml.com/pricing.

2. When refunds are available

We will refund your payment in full when:

  • Work has not yet started. Email us within twenty-four (24) hours of payment, before the worker has begun translating or evaluating your course, and we will issue a full refund.
  • The platform fails to deliver. If a job is dispatched but completes with a system-side failure that we cannot reasonably remediate, we will issue a full refund of that job.
  • You were charged in error. Duplicate charges or charges for cancelled jobs are refunded in full upon notification.

3. When refunds are not available

Once translation or evaluation work has begun on a job, that job is non-refundable. This includes situations where:

  • The job has been dispatched to the worker and processing is in progress or complete.
  • You delete the source upload after the job has started.
  • You decide you no longer need the translation or evaluation.
  • Your local LMS, deployment environment, or downstream tooling cannot consume the output (we publish supported formats in advance and will help diagnose, but format mismatches with your LMS are not refundable).

This rule reflects the fact that compute, machine-translation, and expert-review costs are incurred at job start and cannot be recovered if a user changes their mind partway through processing.

4. Quality concerns & human re-review

We stand behind the quality of every translation and evaluation that CoursePortify produces. If you believe a completed job materially fails to meet the quality bar described on our public pages — for example, has systemic mistranslations, missing modules, or evaluation findings that contradict the source material — please email contact@koneroanalyticsml.com within fourteen (14) days of completion with the job ID and a description of the issue.

Eligible concerns will be re-reviewed by a senior pedagogical expert at no additional charge. If we determine the issue cannot be remediated by re-review, we may, at our discretion, issue a partial or full refund of that job.

Re-review is a goodwill remedy and does not extend the refund eligibility window described in §2 (Work has not yet started).

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email contact@koneroanalyticsml.com from the address on your account.
  2. Include the job ID(s), the date of payment, and a brief description of the reason.
  3. If the request is for a quality re-review, include the specific concern (e.g., "module 3 mistranslation", "missing assessment items", etc.).

We will respond within two (2) U.S. business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear in your account within five to ten (5–10) business days, depending on your bank. We do not refund to alternative payment methods.

6. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we are nearly always able to resolve issues quickly. Initiating a chargeback with your bank or card network without first contacting us may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated. If a chargeback is found invalid, we may recover the disputed amount and any associated fees.

7. Enterprise & institutional customers

Enterprise and institutional customers operating under a signed Order Form or Master Services Agreement are governed by the refund and credit terms in that agreement, which control to the extent they conflict with this page.

8. Changes

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version applicable to your job is the version in effect at the time you authorized the charge.
